The Year of Family 

The symbols of my banner represent a small but emphatic part of my life. Family is very important to me, as well as my faith, profession and outside interests. These symbols are a huge part of the fabric of my life, they have helped me to grow and be the person that I hope others can look up to. 

The Italian Flag represents family to me. Growing up in an Italian household, everything revolved around family and I have come to realize how extended that family can be. It can become the people we meet and come to know and love as friends. It can be the person we hardly ever see, but can pick up as if we never stopped seeing each other. It has become the members of this Krewe. To that I am grateful.

St. John’s University School of Pharmacy gave me a purpose and faith when I was lost. When I entered the program at St. John’s I was in a tough place. It provided faith and a way to earn a living as well as serve my community. The Johnnies came to me at the right time!

The Mortar and Pestle needs no introduction, Pharmacy and IV Home Therapy, Nursing has become my life’s work. It is extremely satisfying to help those in need of our services. These patients are experiencing the toughest times of their lives and we are there to help.

I have played hockey since I was a pee wee; street, roller and ice. I played in many leagues and even participated 2 years at Columbia University playing goalie. I was small but sure was slow! I grew up in the league of six and enjoy both New York Rangers and Tampa Bay Lightning games.

Lady Megan Schultz. Megan was our  Amphitrite 42. Megan graduated from the university of South Florida in 2022 with a bachelors degree in Health Sciences. She is currently working as a medical assistant in Cardiology and applying to medical school. She served as our Queen Amphitrite 42 in 2023 with King Raj Persaud. 

Lady Jenna Gorddard. Jenna is from Long Island, NY.  She is currently a student at Santa Fe College.  When she is not studying, she enjoys exploring the great outdoors – taking long hikes and kayaking.

Lady Preya Persaud. Preya was our Amphitrite 43. With eight years of experience in hospitality management and currently pursuing her studies in Finance, Preya has shown us the true meaning of leadership and perseverance. Preya, we are honored to have had you as our past Queen and look forward to the bright future ahead.
