“Ginny” Virginia Davis, age 86, of Indian Shores, Florida passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. She was born on May 22, 1937 in Des Plaines, Illinois.

Ginny will forever be lovingly remembered by her daughter Leigh Ann Southard, her son “Jim” James Vining Davis, Jr. and his wife Dawn LaCross Davis, her granddaughters Carly Nales (TC) and Ashley Davis, great granddaughter Collins Virginia Nales, bonus grandchildren Seth Southard, Jr (Chelsey), “Zack” Zachary LaCross and “Bella” Isabella LaCross, bonus great grandchildren JJ, Hannah and Hank Southard, her cousin Teresa Sopp, nieces Jeanne Twait (Bernie) and Janis Sprague, her nephew William Sprague and bonus nephew Raymond Lewis.
Ginny is preceded in death by her parents Thelma and Russell Stuart, the father of her children “Big Jim” James Vining Davis, Sr. and son-in-law “Ed” Seth Southard, Sr.
Ginny was a Pinellas County resident for 59 years, she made Indian Shores her home. Ginny was a voracious reader, she loved Jimmy Buffet and considered herself a “Parrot Head” – plus she absolutely loved traveling to Hawaii.
A Celebration of Life Luau will be held Thursday, June 15, 2023
at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens, 1750 Curlew Road, Palm Harbor, FL. The service will begin at 2 P.M. followed by food & fellowship. Kindly honor Ginny’s memory by wearing cheerful, tropical Hawaiian themed clothing.
